Stay Overnight in the Sleeping Car at Wirksworth

for Volunteers and Contractors of the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway

8 Rooms Available

The Sleeping Car has 8 double rooms (bunk beds) available to hire at a cost of £7.50 per person per night.

Rooms 9 to 12 are permanently reserved by the vehicle owners, LMS 10000, who kindly let the railway use the coach.

Rooms are generally available from 14:00 on the day and check out is by 10:00 to allow for cleaning. The system will say 23:59 on your confirmation as it does not support overnight configuration.

Choose Your Room

Choose your room number in the booking system. If you're staying for multiple nights, check availability of your chosen room for all the nights before booking a room so that you don't have to move. You will need to add each night to your basket separately. It may be worth creating an account on the ticketing system to make booking quicker in the future.

Facilities

Each room has hot and cold running water for your convenience. Close the lid and you have a handy shelf! The coach is not fitted with toilets. Toilet and shower facilities are available at the station.

For economy reasons, the heating/aircon system is on a timer and will only operate at times when the coach is likely to be occupied. To activate the system when you are in the vehicle, push the button by the signing in board.

Charge Your Device

USB charging sockets are provided in each room for mobile phones or any USB device. Please note, there are no 240v sockets.

STRICTLY No Smoking

The whole coach is strictly no smoking or vaping. The automatic fire alarm system will activate and fire doors will automatically operate.
