Eccles Express

Every Thursday in August you can join Eccles the Bear on the 1050 departure from Wirksworth to Duffield where you can join in with our Teddy Bears Picnic and enjoy an afternoon relaxing at the station at our all-new Children's Activity Zone, featuring sandpits, garden games, colouring activities, you will even get the chance to meet Eccles and have your photo taken with him.

If you prefer you can head straight back to Wirksworth and have a go at our Teddy Bear Trek, have a ride on our miniature railway and wonder at the model railway.

You can purchase one of our delicious kids lunch boxes from Wirksworth Station prior to your journey or bring your own picnic - snacks, drinks and ice creams are also available to purchase at Duffield Station.

No need to buy special tickets - just grab your advance day rover and come along on a Thursday during August 2024.
